little picasso :)

Looks like I have a budding artist :) I set up a mini studio outside for her last week and my sister-in-law (the painter in our family) came over and we painted (well... they painted... I photographed & cleaned up) :) It was so much fun. I love sweet little moments like this. She finished 6 paintings and we taped them on the side of the house with painters tape so they could dry, and when my husband came home we charged him $1 admission to the gallery ;) He still owes us.



I save all of her sweet little drawings in a folder in my studio. Thomas didn't think I had kept them all. It's pretty big already, and she hasn't even been drawing for a year... so I think maybe around Christmastime we'll frame some and give them away as gifts to the grandparents or make them into pretty cards or ornaments or something. Don't worry, I'll save the best ones to keep :)



Oh yeah... and she's wearing my old art smock here. It's a little big on her now but I'm thinking about making her one of her very own :)

mommy makes pretty crafts is my third attempt at documenting my days as a mommy with a small craft business. maybe this will work? :) i honestly get burnt out on blogging, but i really would love to keep it up for a few reasons... one, i would love to have this to inspire my sweet little emmabelle with one day. two, i'd love to network & make friends with other girls, because it's hard to find time to do that lately... and three, i'd like to further my little craft business! and if you'd like to check it out, it's called the cupcakery and i'm coming up on my 4th year on etsy!!! i just reached 300 sales in my shop last week and i'm really proud of what my family has helped me accomplish.
